Performance
The new EQS comes with a Permanently Excited Synchronous electric motor that doesn't compromise zero-emission driving for iconic performance. This electric motor delivers 329 horsepower and 419 pound-feet of torque for the power you need to merge and pass on the highway effortlessly. The single-speed automatic transmission makes for seamless acceleration and take-offs with nearly instant torque response.
If you are interested in more power, the EQS 580 includes Dual Permanently Excited Synchronous with a combined 385 kW electric motor. You can enjoy 516 horsepower and 631 pound-feet of torque for more exciting performance. The 4MATIC® all-wheel drive system comes standard with this model option for legendary traction and stability for low-traction conditions and control during spirited drives.

The Mercedes EQS 450+ comes with standard rear-wheel drive that can angle the rear wheels up to 4.5 degrees for more control when traveling at higher speeds. All 2022 EQS models come with the standard Adaptive Damping System Plus, which allows you to fine-tune the performance characteristics to match your driving needs.

Charging and Range
The new EQS offers an EPA-rated 350 miles of range for the EQS 450+ and 340 miles for the EQS 580. With this driving range, you will have more than enough range to commute during the workweek.
When it comes to charging the EQS, both models come with a lithium-ion battery pack with a usable capacity of 107.8 kWh. When using a 240-volt or AC charger, the EQS can charge from 10 to 100 percent in about 11 hours and 15 minutes. The EQS can replenish 70 percent of its battery power, charging from 10 to 80 percent, in about 35 minutes with a DC fast charger.
Whether you're charging overnight or on the go, the new EQS provides the convenience you need to keep your battery topped off.
Design
The electric performance of the new EQS inspires a new era in style. The EQS has a sleek, taut exterior appearance that maximizes both cabin comfort and aerodynamic efficiency. The digital LED lights and lightband make for a striking appearance and enhanced visibility. An electronic liftgate offers more convenience when stowing cargo, while the SmartKey with KEYLESS-START provides more convenience entering and starting this luxury car.
