Level 1 EV Charging

Level 1 charging involves plugging your vehicle into a standard 120V household outlet using the charging cable that comes with the vehicle. Level 1 charging adds about four miles of range per hour of charging, making it best for overnight charging at home. While it's not the fastest option, Level 1 charging requires no special equipment and can be done virtually anywhere there's a standard electrical outlet. All you need to do is plug in your vehicle when the day's done and unplug it when the sun rises the next day.

Level 2 EV Charging

For faster charging at home or on the go, Level 2 charging is a great option. Level 2 charging requires a 240V outlet, similar to what an electric dryer uses, and a charging station. You can have an electrician install a Level 2 charging station at your home. Many public charging stations, like those found at workplaces, shopping centers, and parking garages throughout Ann Arbor, Michigan, also offer Level 2 charging for driver convenience.

A Level 2 charging station can add about 25 miles of range per hour to your Mercedes-Benz EV. This makes it a convenient choice for daily charging, allowing you to recharge your vehicle's battery overnight or while you work, shop, or eat.

Level 3 EV Charging

Also known as DC Fast Charging, Level 3 is the fastest EV charging available. Level 3 charging stations can add 100 miles or more of range in just 30 minutes of charging time. These charging stations are typically found in public places like shopping centers, parking garages, and long-distance rest stops.

Level 3 Charging isn't recommended for everyday use but can be a lifesaver if you're expecting to be on the road for the long haul.
